Sternwheeler

Evidence suggests that this large wooden wreck may have been a stern-wheeled steamship, typical of the kind that plied Pacific Northwest waters in the late 19th century, pictured below. It may have been part of what was popularly known as the “Mosquito Fleet,” the primary means of transportation between coastal cities and towns on Puget Sound until the 1930s.
