<< Back to map

Shipwrecks_Map.html

This huge barge was built by the U.S. Navy at Bremerton in 1908.  Measuring 110 feet in length and weighing 233 gross tons, it was probably used to haul coal for Navy ships.  In 1929 the Navy sold the barge to Foss Launch & Tug Company, who used her to haul various cargos from Tacoma until at least 1969.
